Handshake - New Employer Connection Requests
Regarding new Handshake employer connection requests, the CCPD reserves the right to deny access to any employer who refuses to comply with our requirements for connecting with Rensselaer. Please ensure that all required information is entered accurately and thoroughly. Incomplete records may result in a denied request if the following requirements are not met:
- Valid first- and last- name for a contact person
- Valid phone number
- Valid employer website
- Valid email address for that employer (not a generic email)
- Career information available in employer Handshake profile or on website
- Adherence to Principles for Employment Professionals developed by the National Association of Colleges and Employers.
We recommend including the following information in your company profile for additional verification:
- Company social media accounts, such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter
- Logo
- Branding image
- Attachments with company/career info
