As a student with an activated Handshake account, you'll have access to review and apply to thousands of jobs posted throughout the year. You'll be invited to attend Employer Info Sessions, Workshops, Career Fairs and other special events. You can also connect with employers that interest you, as well as alumni and students from other universities. Join the Handshake Community to manage all aspects of your job search!
Students can:
- Apply for internships/jobs
- Schedule appointment(s) with their career counselors
- Attend virtual employer events and CCPD workshops
- Check-in with the CCPD team while on internship/co-op
- Connect with students at other universities using Handshake and more!
Graduating Students & Alumni:
All student and recent alumni Handshake accounts are disabled in late August. Be sure to keep copies of all of your important job search documents, including your resume.
If you are looking to change jobs, consider registering with the CCPD on Handshake, our online job posting service. You'll find a range of job listings posted by employers seeking to hire new graduates and professionals.

After you've logged in for the first time, Handshake will ask you questions about your preferences, interests, and industries. Do not skip this section! This helps us communicate with you when we see opportunities that might align with your interests and skill sets.
You'll want to fully complete your profile, including profile photo, experience, education, skills, clubs and activities, and more. Handshake indicates that 80% of students who have a complete profile are contacted by a recruiter.
