Hi, my name is Emily K. and I have been working in career development and counseling for almost a decade. I am currently a Career Counselor in the CCPD and oversee the Peer Career Advisor Program.  After graduating with my Masters in Mental Health Counseling from SUNY New Paltz, I moved to Boston and began working at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where I taught professional development to students of all majors and years with a focus on preparing them for internships and gaining soft skills to succeed in all types of roles and industries. After a few years at MIT, I left to work for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts where I served as a Senior Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor, supporting clients of the Department of Mental Health to prepare for and find work. I have a strong passion for working with students and utilizing my background in both career services and mental health and wellness. Outside of work, I enjoy biking, reading, playing and watching soccer, and listening to podcasts!
